Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced School Behaviorist to join our team in Antioch, CA. In this full-time, in-person role, you will provide behavioral assessments, develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), implement evidence-based behavior supports, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to promote positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and analyze data to identify behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support behavior management strategies
- Provide direct consultation and training on positive behavior support and crisis intervention
- Collect and review behavioral data to track progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Facilitate IEP and behavior support meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support inclusive, positive, and safe school environments that foster student success
Required Qualifications:
- Valid California Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) credential preferred
- Experience in school-based behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation
- Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and positive behavior support strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate support needs in school settings
- Familiarity with IDEA, IEP development, and school behavior regulations
